With over 24 years experience in the local wedding industry J&L can help with independent advice on choice of suppliers and venues, infact we can advise on most aspects of your day. We are not wedding planners or co-ordinators our advisery service is free!

You can find many of the areas leading suppliers on this site and remember these are mostly people we work with on a regular basis and are our preferred suppliers in many cases.

Once you have decided on a date and church/venue you need to consider the suppliers that are going to be with you on the day, so people like your photographer, video, disco/live music, wedding cars, toastmaster etc. In many cases these have limited capacity so if you like a particular unique car for example you need to book that early before someone beats you to it!

Many couples leave these essential services till the last minute and are disappointed when they have to go with whatever is left, things like rings, stationery, cakes, flowers and even dresses still need to be booked in good time but normally there is more choice in these suppliers.

Please choose your photographer carefully, since the change over to digital photography and the cost of professional equipment has reduced, there are now many inexperienced wedding photographers with glossy websites that are disappointing many brides. As a professional video company J&L video are coming into contact more often with such photographers. Certain styles such as reportage or informal photography are very popular and if in the hands of an expert can produce stunning results. However this can also be cover for no experience in organsing people into those more traditional family group photos which are often required.
We would advise a mixture of both traditional and informal for the best results.
